Before we get to the official list don't forget to vote in this month's poll for which movie I should make my 10th most anticipated of the summer. Remember, I only get to see 10 so make it count.
Keep in mind that this is counting down in order of anticipation, not necessarily how good they will be. To do that I would have to see into the future and I haven't quite mastered that yet (I did have Chinese food tonight though, but my fortune cookie somehow had nothing to do with the quality of upcoming motion pictures, hmm, maybe next time.)
#9 Hellboy II: The Golden Army
I'm pumped to see Red back in action again as the first movie did only so so at the box office and I wasn't sure if the sequel would actually get off the ground. Now I know as a fine upstanding Christian I shouldn't be allowed to like anything with the word Hell in it (although I think exceptions may have already been made for Hellman's Mayonnaise) but the character of Heckboy is one of the most lovable and compelling beings I've been drawn into. This probably has a lot to do with the fact that I identify with him as a fellow big guy that people assume is up to no good, when really me and helly have hearts of gold. Plus this world is absolutely gorgeous as envisioned by one of the best eyes directing today, Guillermo del Toro. Speaking of which, if you need another reason to see this, GDT will be soon directing the next Lord of the Rings... I mean Hobbit movies, so it will give you a chance to get to know his style a bit.
#8 comes your way next, and it involves a movie star who is returning to a time that he once called his own.
